Open Question: Puppy is really sick! Someone help me please!?

December 31st, 2009 admin No comments

My golden retriever puppy, Bella, has been throwing up since 4:00 today. It’s 1:00 currently. She accidently ate a long piece of ribbon earlier, but she DID poop it all out. It is completely out of her system. Later on she began throwing up her food. We had to leave the house, but when we got back Bella was laying in a pool of vomit, all dirty and sad looking. We cleaned the cage and got her all bathed, but she threw up a few times in the tub and a few times while she was drying. Now, our house is sort of chilly, and she was shivering, but we think it might be from throwing up so much. Towards eleven the piles started getting smaller, which I think is a good sign. We haven’t given her food yet because we don’t want to irritate her tummy, and want her to stop vomitting. The vomit was a light brown liquid and came up in loads larger than dinner plates at times. That is a LOT of throw up for a 50 pound dog. I really want her to be okay, and hope nothing seriously is wrong with her. We would take her to a vet, but there is not a clinic anywhere near us that in open on New Years Eve, unfortunately. Is what we have been doing okay? Should we be doing more? Please be nice, I didn’t mean to let her eat the ribbon. It was a total accident. I just want my little girl to be okay! :( ( ANY advice is appreciated.

December 30th, 2009 admin No comments

We are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach in June 2010. We are hoping to stay 7 nights and are looking for a nice, affordable hotel that is clean and on the beach. Beachfront is a must! I have no idea what part of Myrtle Beach would be the best. Any advice is much appreciated. We will be traveling with a 1 year old, a 6 year old, and a 9 year old so a kiddie pool area would be nice.
